talktalk last caller barring 14258 not working

I got a scam call this morning and I wanted to add it to my large block list using the 14258 as I did with all the others. 

 

It doesn't work any more, I just get the message 'Sorry, the service requested is not available. Thank you for calling'.  Being understandably annoyed I looked on here for help. I was out of contract last month so my phone and internet were just on the rolling monthly payments.   While I was on, I called to see if there was a better monthly deal and spoke to one of your staff who signed me up for another 24 months contract. he said he had reactivated the last call blocking and callsafe.    2 more scam calls later,  and I'm still unable to add them to the block list using 14258.

 

The help page says to activate callsafe dial 1472 and press one. So I did.  Not only does the 14258 still not work, I've now got an  email telling me about my 'new and improved' package that is £3 more than it was on the contract I agreed this morning. So can someone please explain WTF is going on? is the contract I signed this morning being honoured and why doesn't the add number to block list work?

The same thing happened to me this morning. I tried the above but it did not work. I tried to get to chat on line and again I could get access to it. All I want is the last number barred. Please advise quickly before anyone else phones me. Thank you

Last Caller barring and Callsafe cannot be active at the same time, on your account it shows Last Caller Barring being removed for Callsafe and then re-added, this can take between 2 and 24 hours to activate so there may be an delay.  I have asked for a network reset so can you test Last Caller barring in a few hours

 

In relation to the renewal, it failed, so your contract hasn't changed. You are out of contract so if you do wish to renew please call the loyalty team on 03451720088
