My wife has had a Doro from Talktalk for years, when it was damaged she purchased a Motorolo and changed to a Nano sim, she does not use the phone for the internet as the previous Doro did not have that facility, we have an allowance of 300 MB which we do not use but last month were charged £14 this month to date £22, tried phoning but no explanation.

You could also consider switching suppliers to one that provides Sim only deals with around 3mb of data for £5 a month. Martin Lewis is always promoting them.

Make sure that apps are set to ONLY update using wifi, @RICKY18.

HI RICKY18
Thanks for you post
Its sounds like the new phone is accessing mobile data, Ive looked at the latest bill and mobile data is being used daily, you can see from the amounts of data used which vary from 3 MB upto 62MB that someone or an App on that phone is using it, once the usage is up thats when the charges are started.
I would recommend disabling mobile data.

Hi,
You are in the staff's queue for a response.
For a quicker reply can you please ensure you have your personal information up to date in your profile including your TalkTalk landline phone number so your account can be traced. Link here - https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/user/myprofilepage/tab/personal-profile:personal-info
If you are unsure of your phone number, you can find this in My Account or dial 17070 from your landline phone and this will confirm the number for you.
You can also add your account number in the private notes field, which only you and the support staff can view.
Please post back when done.
Also include your wifes mobile number in private notes field.
Thank you

Whilst waiting for a reply, if your wife does not use the internet, then turn data off so the phone is not accessing any internet or email functions.
She may not be actively using the internet but the phone will be checking and updating the phone and apps, and if she has set an email up it will be downloading these.
Additionally if you take photos, are these being backed up? If so check settings and ensure backups are only done over wifi and not data.
