Homesafe not working.

I set up homesafe last week to block a category and a couple specific websites. It was working for a few days and now is allowing access to the websites. Nothing has been changed on my end. I need this sorted asap. I’ve tried to turn it off and back on and re block the sites but they’re still accessible.

The Online Safety Act applies to search engines, social media, message services and the like, not ISPs.

This is clearly an issue Talk Talk. I also do not have this working now. Your technical people are telling me the same things that people having been told to do here (clear chache, turn Kids Safe On and Off). Nothing is working to enable this. I understand the The Online Safety Act 2023 means this is a requirement for TalkTalk to provide this functionality.  I am now being told to wait two hours for a change to take place!

I'll feed it back to the team.

No better for me. I've tried restarting the router, turning the settings off and on again but no improvement.

Going to log a formal complaint.

Hello.

Yes I am still having issues. The blocked sites are still accessible and when I try to make changes there is an error.

I've been informed that changes were made on the network that should have fixed this. Are you still having problems?

I have the same problem. A few days ago Home safe suddenly stopped working. All the nasties that Kidsafe should be blocking are accessible.

Have been on chat a couple of times but they've been unable to resolve.

Seems many are affected - TT please can this be addressed as a priority?

Thank you

I'm having the exact opposite problem.. I've never enabled homesafe, yet suddenly can't connect to any gambling websites. It was working fine yesterday, I've changed nothing. I tried troubleshooting by turning the filters on and off and yet I still can't access any adult websites on any device.

Seems like there is a problem on TalkTalk's end??

Tried again and all blocked categories and manually blocked sites are accessible. I need a fix for this asap please as a huge security risk. I’ve checked DNS and all are tslktalk. As i said the blocker was working up until yesterday so not sure what has changed. I’ve tried multiple devices too and can still access the sites that are supposed to be blocked.

Hi Ady.

Had the router off about an hour, turned it back on and the issue is still occurring.
