I live outside of UK (in Australia) for some of the year and check my TalkTalk account from there.
I have a new email address but am unable to change it in the "My Account" section as I am not in UK and therefore not connected to the TalkTalk broadband.
I am also unable to connect to the TalkTalk Chat (which I was able to access in past years) - and there is no other way I can contact TalkTalk that I can see.
Any suggestion?

As Arne says, use a VPN host server that's in the UK and you should be able to access the TalkTalk customer MyAccount and LiveChat.
A customer will not be able to carry out a password change or email address change when not connected to the TalkTalk network.

Have you tried using a VPN, other customers have found that solves the problem.
