Fault with TV set top box 372 and remote

I was issued an upgraded set top box a couple of years ago but have found that it often freezes during programmes and recording playback which is not only annoying but also affects the continuity of the programme.  Also my remote is suffering the effects of old age, being about 20 years old as some of the most used buttons don't work.  Are these replaceable, if so, at what cost?

As TalkTalk no longer supply recording devices I can see no reason to stay as a customer.  I will look at the alternatives while my set-top box still works and when I have found a better deal I will, most likely, leave.

Talktalk stopped providing those youview boxes 4 years ago, and these cannot be repaired or replaced.

 

TalkTalk no longer provide any recording TV boxes, and now only provide the TV HUB, that is an android based streaming box.  This is also chargeable at £5 per month.

 

If this is something you are interested in, you can give our teams a call and they can discuss upgrade options with you.

Basically you are not solving my problem or even helping solve my problem as you have no decision making status within the company.  Best leave it to someone who has as I need resolutions not recommendations.  Thanks anyway.

If as you say the 372T was discontinued several years ago I can only assume that it was either discontinued before I recieved it or shortly after.  If it was not replaced by an updated version it begs the question 'What am I paying Talktalk for?'

Sorry, I don't understand the point of your last post. They are both discontinued as I have said. You can use them until they go faulty & then that is it.

Sorry, but I don't make the rules.

 

The 372T was discontinued several years ago & it cannot be replaced. Just because it was discontinued, didn't stop you from using it. If you want a recorder then TalkTalk do not offer one, hence why I suggested you look at the Humax & Manhattan ranges. Otherwise, contact the loyalty dept if you want a streaming box.

If I have to purchase devices to record TV programmes then there would be no point in being a TalkTalk customer.  I don't have a 373T so I don't see the relevance to my problem.

The 372T was discontinued a number of years ago now & cannot be replaced. If you only need streaming services, you could call the loyalty dept & discuss TV packages. If you want to be able to record, then look at the offerings for you to potentially purchase by Humax & Manhattan.
