In light of not being able to view Netflix from my Youview box I have bought a fire stick HD from Amazon. Do I need to disconnect the box if I attach the stick or can I let it run concurrently. I’d still like to be able to record programs. It’s cheaper than buying a new tv.

If you have a spare HDMI slot just plug it in.

 

If you don't have a spare slot, you can buy a hdmi splitter cheaply on well know retail or auction sites 

 

Just make sure it says auto rather than manual selection.

 

You can continue to use your YouView box alongside the fire stick with no problem.
