why do have to go to settings to start internet each time you turn on tv
why not like other devices start automatically

Are you talking about the TV HUb. Do you mean connecting back to Wi-Fi when you turn on the Hub ?
If so, is this connected usually to 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz Wi-Fi ?
Have you also rebooted the router recently ?

If so which box do you have?
Can you please expand upon the internet search as TalkTalk boxes do not have a web browser.
