I have itvX as an app on my TV but it won't work! it shows this message

ITV changed their app to ITV X last November, and removed support for some older devices including the legacy youview boxes.
This was beyond our control. Other apps such as Netflix will also no longer work across these older set top boxes from November.
If you give our Teams a call, they can discuss options relating to TalkTalk TV and the new TV HUB that will support all the apps.

Looking at that message, you have a TalkTalk YouView box. This is a decision made by ITV and YouView, who no longer support ITVX on older devices.
