Hi

I have a recurring fault previously dealt with by Karl. The issue is similar to the previous one regarding access to my bbc regional channels. I was sent a new box in November which at that time resolved all the issues I'd been experiencing.

However, once again this has started happening. When I try and access bbc 1 it will only select bbc iplayer,  bbc 2 and commercial channels are all ok.

As previously advised I've carried out full box resets,  rescanned channels and have also checked the aerial directly into the tv which works normally. Can you advise next steps please.

Hi Karl

I'm happy to give it a try if you recommend this. As you'll know this has been a recurring problem.

Thanks

Robin

Hi

I've carried out these instructions as suggested, however when BBC2 is selected and the settings window is displayed, the upper half is for subtitles and the lower half Channel Source already shows BBC2 HD. The left and right arrows do nothing when tried on the remote. The Iplayer issue still exists with BBC1

Hi

BBC Iplayer will usually cut in if the signal is weak, so first thing to check is connect the aerial direct to the TV and see if the signal is breaking up for that channel.

There is also a way to override Iplayer launching for a weak signal as follows :

Switching over from IP fallback (iPlayer) to DVB aerial source for BBC channels.

1) Navigate to ITV1 by pressing “3” on the remote control.
2) Press the “CH-” key on the remote to load BBC TWO
3) An info bar will appear towards the bottom, immediately press the “Right” arrow key
on the remote to navigate to the “Settings” option.
4) Immediately press the “OK” button on the remote control. This will show a new box
titled “Channel Source” for BBC TWO
Note that you will need to perform steps 3 and 4 (pressing “right” & “OK”) in quick
succession - i.e. within about 2 seconds. If you aren’t quick enough, simply press “CH+” to
load ITV1 again and repeat from step 2.
5) Use the “Left” or “Right” arrow keys to switch to “BBC TWO HD” which is the aerial
version of the channel. The source labelled just BBC TWO is the iPlayer version.
6) All other BBC channels should now play through your aerial, i.e. the iPlayer loading
screen should no longer appear. You can check this by navigating to either BBC ONE
(channel #1) or BBC THREE (channel #23).

Thanks

Karl.
