Smart tv v hub

My tv is old but it still works. Now the old set top box no longer supports Netflix is there any point in getting a hub if I get a smart tv. If I kept the set top box would I be able to record on that. I take it the hub won’t do that.

Too old to stand for any more nonsense

If you get a new smart TV it will almost certainly support Netflix. And no, the TV Hub is essentially a smart box without any recording capabilities. But yes, your current box will continue to record linear channels for as long as it reamins in working order.
