Got a new 4k box a few days ago and setup an has been ok till today 28 April. On both catch up and watching live through the box there is a breakup of picture and sound only intermittently but enough to spoil the watching.
Can I do a soft reset without losing setting up the apps and could it resolve the problem

Also worth a reboot of the router to clear any Wi-Fi issues etc.

Best way to try a soft reset is to turn off from the mains and then on again.
If that doesn't work a factory reset from the settings needs to be tried but as you are aware you will need to reset your apps
