Unwanted TV box delivered. How to return as unused?

What do I do with this TalkTalk TV Box - forced on me as a free service when renewing my contract?

I did not expect this so opened the box thinking it might be a new router, now I have e-waste that I am supposed deal with.

Why create this immediate e-waste with instructions on how to return as waste, when it has not been used.

Why no option to return this as unused?

Also, the renewal of my contract added TV as £0 now in my account there is an addon for £5.00 per month!

What is going on?

Simply give me broadband at a reasonable price!

Can someone call me to help cancel everything so I can go elsewhere and start with a clean slate?

Thanks.

You have a cooling off period to cancel your contract, but you do need to get in touch with TalkTalk directly in order to do so.

@MrMcWelly. online renewals usually include the TV deal as standard, which is why we always recommend on the Community that you phone or use Chat to clarify every detail of your renewal.

So use the contact details you have been given  - they can remove the £5.00 charge and should send you a prepaid returns bag to send the TV box back.

Keep a certificate of posting as proof.

This will require TalkTalk to deal with your problem. There are no TalkTalk support staff on this forum anymore.

Please see my signature for TalkTalk contact methods.
