Use tv hub remote to turn tv on and off

Just got new hub after installation of fibre broadband with new remote.

Old hub remote was used to switch both hub and tv on and off.

how do I get the new hub remote to do the same ?

If you've followed the advice and need help,
Please start your own thread as each case is considered unique and it is easier for support to be given to one person per thread and also less confusing.
To start your thread click the Browse button, then Help With Your Service and select the appropriate category. You will then see a Blue Button "Start A Topic"

Hi

 

Your TV may not be compatible, but you can try the following.

 

Go To SETTINGS then REMOTES AND ACCESSORIES.

 

Choose the TalkTalk Remote from the options.

 

Select the Option TV CONTROL and follow the onscreen steps and see if this helps.

Not all TV's are compatible with the new remote.

 

During setup the box analyses the tv and if possible maps functions. If it doesn't turn off your TV then its not possible to do so manually.
