Why, when the letter about my increased charge says that the increase will be 3.7%, is the figure quoted as £2.76 per month when 3.7% of what I'm paying works out at £1.335 per month?

To confirm CPI is set at 4% + 3.7% total 7.7%

It's not 3.7%. the increase is inflation PLUS 3.7%.
The increase is 7.7% I think.
Also it's not going to work out exactly due to the way VAT is applied.
