I reset the preferred payment date for my direct debit to 5th of each month last year. This is usually kept to within a day or two, but my latest bill shows payment will be taken on 3oth August, which is SIX DAYS before preferred payment date. WHY?

No, I have just logged in to my account again, and in the 'Bill & Pay preferences' section it clearly states '5th of every month' under 'Payment due date'
So I don't see why I should have to call the payment support team.

The payment date actually looks to have been set for the 28th, call us and speak to the payment support team.

Perhaps discuss this via phone /Chat over the weekend as forum staff won't be back before Monday at the earliest, @Sal1950.
