Billing charge

Hi, I was with shell energy which I only set up in June, 2 months later moved to talk talk which is fine if it was just a continuing contract. I paid £25.99 to shell on the 12th August so you would assume my next bill since moving to talk talk would be £25.99... I have a £47.99 charge for fees since the line went active which makes no sense as I'm paying monthly and the hasn't not been active since the 12th of last month. £21 charges as an opening active line charge is ridiculous. Is there anything I can do to refund this? Thank you

Hi @Jamie100
A credit has been raised, if you log into My Account you should be able to request a refund.
Apologies for any inconvenience.

Check which days the charges applied from, @Jamie100.
Talktalk's billing system won't be differentiating between a totally new customer joining up and a migration which probably overlaps with what you paid Shell.
You need to phone 03451 720088 during the day or use Chat after 9am to sort it out.
Ask to speak to the Shell Migration team.
I'll move this to the billing section of the forum for you - staff reply during the day, Monday to Friday.
