Cancel full fibre upgrade appointment

Hey there,

Over the last few weeks I’ve received repeated emails and texts around upgrading to full fibre. I live in a leasehold flat in a block of 39, and when I reached out to the management company to ask about getting permission to upgrade, I was told that they are already in talks with city fibre to upgrade the building, that this is in progress, and that I do not have permission to arrange this separately.

I called up to cancel the upgrade as a result, and was told it was done. However I’ve still been receiving messages and texts around an appointment on 27th. I also received a message this morning that I’m receiving a parcel from Talktalk, presumably equipment for the upgrade I cannot grant permission for.

Please can someone help me cancel this upgrade so that I can stay on my existing package? Without freeholder permission, I legally cannot grant access for the work to go ahead.

@Arne-TalkTalkThank you for confirming that the upgrade to full fibre is now cancelled. I received a new router in the post today, which I believe was related to that upgrade. Is there a way for me to send that back for now?

Thank you, To be clear, I don’t want to cancel my contract. Just the upgrade to full fibre as I can’t grant permission to do this.

Moving this to the billing section for you as it's to do with contracts etc, @Rubixcubix.

Gliwmaeden2, a fellow customer.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link in the post at the top of any forum message board.
