Contract came to an end in February but still being billed

My contract ended on the 29th February. I haven't agreed to a new contract, but I have been debited money again this month and so I checked my account and it is saying I am in a new contract until April 2024. I haven't agreed to this as I am with a new provider. What can I do to fix this?

Your account is still active, when your minimum term ends the account does not automatically cancel you need to tell us.

@PixelMoon, the image you posted displayed your home phone number. Please never post personal information details in the thread.

 

The instructions for cancelling a contract properly with Talktalk now include a recommendation to phone in. Don't use Chat as you'll end up waiting for another call.

 

Most switches are not straightforward these days with all the variables in the type of connection, so unless you actually inform Talktalk yourself, the company will continue billing in the normal way. 

 

You'd need to give them 30 days' notice.

Sorry I misread. It's not saying new contract but it is saying I have been billed for between 16th March and 17th April

Hi PixelMoon

 

Where are you seeing that in My Account it shows 

 

Your account is out of contract, If you are with a new provider you will need to call us on 03451720088  and request the account to be cancelled.
