The engineer did not fix the internet at the time of the visit, and I was confirmed numerous times that the issue was external. I did not have broadband from the 12th to the 15th of June. At least two more people in my building didn't have broadband for the same amount of time because the fault was on the line. The engineer advised me that he had plenty of calls for the same location, but I was advised by TalkTalk that he had left notes that the issue was inside my property. Moreover, the engineer came to my house for the second time the next day! He didn't come in, but he came inside my building, knocked on my flat door and advised that he would be working outside at the property as there was an issue on the line (the weird fact that he came over to say this). My partner opened the door as I was at work. However, after talking with my partner the engineer called me again. Please keep in mind that it was logged that the issue was sorted the same day, however he kept calling me. The fact that he came to my property the second day is extremely frustrating!!! There are no notes of him coming over again, no notes that he made numerous calls to me. I have a call log. The last time he called was on the 17th of June, while the issue was fixed on the 15th, and he was telling me that he was checking my line over the weekend, and it seemed to be working (that's even more weird). The worst is that I have communicated with TalkTalk 3 times now, and no one takes this seriously. I called TalkTalk on the 5th of July and asked to log a complaint. I was advised numerous times that the complaint was logged. On the 12th of July, I was tired of waiting as no one had reached out to me, so I chatted on WhatsApp and was told that there was no complaint logged. The neglect from the TalkTalk side is awful and disappointing. I don't know where else to go. I complained to Openreach, but they do not care either. This is not only because I was charged when it wasn't my fault but also because no one is investigating the behaviour of the engineer, which is extremely concerning.
