I'm abroad and I need help

Hi good afternoon. My name is Abraham and I need some help with two different things:

A few days ago i just canceled my direct debit and now I can't amend anything because I'm not in Uk so I've been trying to call talk talk but neither of my calls works. It rings and it sounds like someone I

took your call but you can't hear absolutely nothing from that side. Now chances are I'm going to pay my current bill from January with its due administration fee which is something that I wanted to avoid. I don't have access to my account because I'm abroad.

The other thing that I'm expecting to do is to stop my Internet service being january my last month with talk talk as my Internet provider. The reason is because I'm planning to change my address to a different one. Some help would be really appreciated. Much obliged.

I can access my account from overseas, just use a free VPN and select a UK node.

@Zifelius, have you actually told them you want to cancel?

They'll need 30 days' notice, over the phone too! If you have a new provider set up already, and are keeping your landline number, switching to another ordinary copper / FTTC supply, you should be able to expect your new company to sort the cancellation of the old service for you. Anything more sophisticated, like Full Fibre,  you MUST tell Talktalk yourself.

Unless you are doing one of the above, your contract will roll on, month on month at full price. It won't just suddenly stop.

Assuming that you have sorted that out, you should be able to see how much you owe in a notification email,  and it will also show your account number.

Together with this information, that's all you need in order to pay by bank transfer. That's assuming that you can log into your banking from abroad:

You can even simply send a cheque, if you dare trust it to the post.....

If you wish to move house and KEEP a service with Talktalk, you should contact the Home Move team:

If you agree to take out a new contract with TT you don't have to worry about paying a one off £60.00 fee. They need at least 2 weeks' notice to set you up. They should sort out the cease of the old service when you book in the new service.

Hope that gives you a little hope.

Nobody here will be able to help with this I fear. It's not a question of believing you, you can phone the number I gave, explain the situation and arrange payment that way if you wish.

At the beginning I just wanted to use a different card to make the last payment from talk talk so that's why I decided to cancel the direct debit nevertheless when I tried to amend everything I realised i couldn't have access to my account because I'm abroad and I'll be back in UK mid February. You said there's no reason for me why I can't  get in touch with the customer service team but I already explained my reason which apparently you don't believe but it is the truth. Please let me know if there is any solution at this point to solve the whole situation. I just want to pay the current month and get rid of the service. Thanks.

Why did you stop your Direct Debit? When are you back in the UK? There is no reason why you can't call from abroad using +44 203 441 5550.
