Old Vodafone contract

When I signed up for taltalk broadband I was told that talktalk would deal with the cancellation of my Vodafone contract which was not done I have now received a letter from a debt collection agency on behalf of Vodafone looking for a payment of £78.89 

Is talktalk going to pay this bill

The advice pages recommend that you always contact Talktalk yourself as well, and particularly in the case of switching to Vodafone, @cookierfc:

If your Vodafone contract is up and running and you have received bills from them, you will be able to prove when the switch happened.

If you are unsure of your phone number, you can find this in My Account or dial 17070 from your landline phone and this will confirm the number for you.
You can also add your account number in the private notes field, which only you and the support staff can view.
