Payment taken from credit account

I was overcharged when I took out a new broadband full-fiber contract. This issue was resolved when I was given a £75 credit on my account. To avoid paying twice, I cancelled my direct debit so that the next two months can be paid using my credit.
WIll this happen automatically, or do I need to speak to Billing about this? I plan to re-establish my direct debit arrangement in March, once the credit has been used.
Thanks

Hi RicardoBond007
If the account is in credit, then we do not claim the direct debit, I would advise reinstating the direct debit as soon as possible to avoid any problems.
Regards

There was no need to cancel your DD as payment comes out of any credit first.
Also by cancelling if you don't reinstate in time you could end up with a late fee payment.
Personally,I'd reinstate this now as payment is, as said automatic from credit on your account.
