Intermittent connection

Hi, I've been experiencing intermittent losses of internet connection, landline is good with no noises.

The router lights move between solid white, flashing orange, orange, and flashing white. This has happened at least twice this afternoon. Has the router enjoyed too much of the festivities?

I haven't tried to reboot the router yet.

Thanks

Hi Divsec

Ahh great news 🙂

No snow here yet but I believe it's on the way. Sky is same here V blue with a pink tinge (it's very pretty)

I had a good weekend too, thank you 🙂

Hi @Debbie-TalkTalk good morning cold here, getting ready for snow! Never seen it fall from a clear blue sky.

Rock solid connection, best it has been in 3 years.

I do hope your weekend was as positive as mine!

Hi @Debbie-TalkTalk what a nice gentleman from Openreach. Asked to come early, no problem. Did his checks, found a fault on my legacy wall socket, replaced it, sorted DLM, 39.5.

Result I would say!

I hope you had a good weekend.

Yes it's a mess, but dry. Box hanging on by 1 screw. No visible exterior connections.

I'll put it back best as and ask for the engineer, please.

Then you go and have a great weekend, please.

Hi Divsec

As long as you can re connect it again I don't see why not.

If the cover is sealed and then will be potentially loose after opening  then maybe not.

No the point of entry is under the cover of the front door porch, but there is a cable coming from there up the outside of the house. I've wondered about that since we moved here.

Will Openreach shoot me if I remove the external cover and have a look? I've always been wary.

I know, you mustn't advise on this.

Hi Divsec

Can you see a loose cover where the wire comes into the property or anything like that?

I'm wondering if any of the cables are exposed to the elements.

Hi Divsec

This is the line test result - Impairment in copper joint detected most likely close to customer premises.
