My connection keeps dropping outs

I am experiencing a very annoy issue that my internet connection suddenly became very unstable since days ago, router's light constantly went amber, lost connection but reconnect again every around 10 minutes,  I've tried to restart the router after turning power off for half-hour but the problem remains.

 

I've run an online connection test but no issue reported.

 

I also checked the router's few latest logs it says:

I am having the same issue i cannot update my games during the day without my internet going down (yes i am a gamer) it is taking me 6 hours 

11 minutes to do 26.62GB of a 32.13GB update (on a wired internet connection) everything seems to be okay when i log onto the hub

Hi,

 

Openreach engineer has come to my flat and done the checking work, he found the problem on the ground floor in my building where the poor connection take place.

 

He told me there is a building's leaking issue caused poor connection / looping by remarkably coincidentally  then affecting my internet connection, he will take further action to see how to resolve the problem for good.  

 

Good news is he has done something workaround today, my internet speed is coming up (still not at full speed but it is OK for now), hope no dropouts again.

Hi,

for past 24 hrs,  internet disconnection is few, but the speed kept very low,  barely open streaming videos.

 

I am now waiting at home for Openreach to come that we have appointment between 1-6PM,  finger crossed.

Thanks for the information. I've checked the fault ticket, it's showing that it's assigned to an engineer on Wednesday (8th) afternoon. So hopefully the issue will be resolved soon, apologies for any inconvenience

updates :

The internet  totally disconnected  since around 7PM this evening, the light flashes amber slowly, sometimes change to white but only last for few minutes then back to amber.

 

basically we are not able to use internet now.

However I'd like to give some updates here in order to providing some information for you to trace issue.

 

firstly the connection was down 5 minutes ago

Hi

 

no updates as yet. Th fault is still open with Openreach.  With the recent storm damage around the country, Openreach may see an increase in fault reports, but will try to get to your line as quickly as they can.

line tests are showing a possible fault. I've logged this to Openreach to take a look.

Hi,

 

I use the replacement router for one day now, there were two times of the dropouts in past 24hours, looks like  better than the old one but still not Zero dropouts.

 

right now the connection speed is low at 39Mbps,  fast.com says the same.

 

So there is still something wrong, please helpspeed is lowspeed is low
