Hello,

Woke up this morning and no internet. The light on my router is flashing orange and the router doesn’t seem to be broadcasting a WiFi SSID.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

G

Hi

OK, the new router should arrive fairly quickly and we can see if this solves the issue.

@Karl-TalkTalk  It’s a dsl  router, so I’m guessing it will not be compatible with ADSL fibre? The router admin control panel suggests it’s trying to sync with DSL, but doesn’t connect.

Hi

As you are on fibre, technically a username / password is not required however the router will expect one.  You can use 01warehouse as the username and for the password just put 012345678

thanks @Karl-TalkTalk

I have an old D-Link  DSL-2780 - could I use that in the meantime?

looks like I just need the ADSL username and password. Can you provide them please?

Hi

Router is on the way.  This usually arrives in 24-48hrs, so could be with you tomorrow.

Thanks

Karl.

@Karl-TalkTalk - yes a replacement would be great. I’ve tried resetting and won’t let me. Think it must be a router issue.

How long will it take to come, as need to work and struggle with 4G signal at home.

thanks,

G

Hi

To reset the router, hold a pin in the reset hole for a count of ten.

Would you like me to dispatch a replacement router to see if this one has failed ?

Thanks

Karl.

Hi @Karl-TalkTalk - phone working fine. I’ve tried factory reset on my router as well, but that doesn’t seem to work.

can you confirm the steps to reset the router to factory settings, so I know I’m doing it correctly.

thanks,

G

Hi

All usual line tests are clear, no issues showing remotely.  Does the home phone have a clear dial tone ?
