No lights on router or connection

I spend an hour on the live chat earlier trying to resolve a sudden loss of internet connection (flashing amber light). The router now appears to have lost power completely and has no lights at all. There are no issues with the power connection / wires. I work from home so urgently need the issue to be rectified. I am currently without internet.
