For queries about your TalkTalk broadband service.

Hi
Sometime ago I purchased a new Fast 5364 router from TalkTalk.
I later purchased a BT Premium Whole Home Wi-Fi system with a Pack of 3 Discs which worked fine with the router.
Then, following a firmware update, the discs would no longer connect to the router. I contacted BT who said they were aware of the issue and I should contact TalkTalk, which I did. However, TalkTalk was unable to help and I reverted back to an old router, which did work with the discs.
I now understand that TalkTalk has resolved the firmware issue and there is a new version which will work with the discs.
If I leave the Fast 5364 router plugged in overnight, will it automatically be updated to the latest firmware version?
Thanks.

OK thanks, and the router won't reconnect if you leave it, you have to restart it?

Hi Chris
There is occasional noise on the line. Not sure of any telephone service disconnections.
The thing is that as soon as I power down the router and power it up again the broadband service is restored.

Hi Clarence
Line test is passing but is showing disconnections. Are you experiencing any problems with your telephone service, any noise on the line?

Hi Debbie.
Sorry it's me again.
When the new router was first connected it worked fine as I reported but it keeps dropping out and needs to be powered down/up to get the internet working again, which is extremely inconvenient as taking lots of online courses.
These are some of the dates/times it happenned.

I don't know if you can check what happenned at these times and suggest a remedy?

Hi @Clarence
Apologies for the confusion. Yes sure, I can start the firmware update at 10.30am, will this be ok?

Morning Debbie.
The router currently connected is my old one which does have the latest firmware but keeps dropping out nearly every day which is why you sent me the new one. It is the new one which has the old firmware which doesn't work with my BT wifi disks so I reconnected my old router temporarilly because even though it keeps dropping out it does enable wifi via the BT disks.
I want to reconnect the new router you sent me but need the new firmware pushed out so it works with the BT wifi disks.
Would it be possible to do this after 10.30am this morning?

Morning @Clarence
Apologies for the delay.
I can see that your router firmware has now updated to the latest version.
Thanks
Debbie
