Hi for the past few hours my router is just flashing orange. I've restarted it but it's only flashing orange (not even white and orange)

OK thanks. To investigate further we'll need to arrange an engineer visit, if you'd like us to do this can you confirm:

  • That you accept potential Engineers charges
  • Provide availability, either AM (8am to 1pm) or PM (1pm to 6pm) between Monday to Friday.
  • Can you also please add your mobile phone number to your community profile

Thanks

I would also like to mention I'm elderly and rely on both my landline and Internet. Router is still flashing orange and phone has no dial tone. I cannot make or receive calls. Please update me as soon as possible.

Yes it's connected but still flashing orange continuously. My phone line is also now not working.

Hi Lucy,

Line test is showing 'no modem detected'. Is your router currently connected to the test socket and switched on.

Ok thanks for letting me know. I have asked one of TalkTalk's support to pick your thread up and investigate it for you.

They aim to respond within 48 hours (Monday - Friday) excluding Bank Holidays, but if more urgent you can always try the Service Centre on 0345 172 0088. The posts are responded to in time/date order, oldest first.

What happens if you temporarily connect the router to the test socket behind the master socket's removable faceplate (if you have that design)? You will need to use a known good microfilter.
