Hi there I'm using Huawei Super Router HG635, software is up to date. All the cables are fine, the router is in a place without interference.
It's been fine with no issues, and nothing has changed in our house. But ever since last Tuesday, all the lights except the power light will suddenly go out and we will lose connection. The only way for this to rectify is if we push the reset button a few times.
We don't have many devices on at once, and like I say, it's never been an issue before.
If we turn the router off at night in case it was overheating (I don't think it is), as soon as we turn it on in the morning, just the power light still remains and we have to reset and then it works fine again. We've been out all day with no devices connected and come back and just the power light has been on, and had to reset again.
I don't think it's a connection issue as I have run tests and the connection is stable. It seems like an issues with the router itself, especially as it just happens randomly. Does anybody have any thoughts?

I have connected the router to the master socket
I waited 5 minutes and the router made connection, then briefly lost connection again and then made connection again.
The problem usually happens first thing in the morning when I switch my router on (I turn it off over night) and just the power light stays on until I reset. Which happened today, but then dropped out after being on for a few hours. I then tested on master socket. Any ideas of next steps?

Hi @KeithFrench @angelique-TT, thanks for your help. I've not tried this step as it's a bit difficult to access the socket - but I will see if I can test somehow. But it seems ok at the moment again. I pressed the reset button a few times and it seems ok again. I'm wondering if there's an issue with the actual router might need replacing as it's quite old and maybe there's an issue there?

@KatyDee Please confirm if you have tried the steps @KeithFrench has provided above and if you still require assistance, thanks.

Hi @KatyDee
Have you tried this router temporarily connected to the test socket located behind the master socket's removable faceplate (if you have that design)? You will need to connect it via a new or known good microfilter.
