Router not working
Wednesday
Message 12 of 12
Hi
my broadband router started flashing orange today. It was fine at 9am and then just starting flashing orange and there was no internet connection. I spoke to Talk Talk for an hour and they reset etc and checked the line but it still doesn’t work.
For hours and hours I have been resetting and trying everything.
I really need a new router, how can I order a Talk Talk router please?

Thank you. Yes I tried the set up link you sent. Unfortunately it didn’t work but thank you. Yes the socket / plate is working. I’m hoping the new router is the solution. Thank you

Did you try the settings given in the article I posted in my reply to your other thread, @Shelldonbaker?
https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Articles/Set-up-a-non-TalkTalk-router/ta-p/2205383
We're not able to advise anything else, and Talktalk can only offer support for the routers they themselves send out.
So Debbie's already said it's in the post. Sent out today, it may be there tomorrow but we are all at the mercy of delivery companies.
Sent via the forum, it's usually 48 hours - Chat agents usually suggest longer, so using the forum was a good move.
What we don't yet actually know is whether the fault is with the router or further down the line. That's why Ferguson asked whether you'd tried the router that you had directly at the test socket?
It's a process of elimination to diagnose the problem, @Shelldonbaker .

Hi Debbie, do you know if the new router is definitely on its way? I really need it for work.
I’ve spent all day yesterday and today trying to configure a non talk talk router as a temporary measure but I cannot get it to work. I bought the TP-Link AX1500 but I don’t know what to type to configure it to Talk Talk. Any suggestions please?
thank you

It's all set up ready to go. You just need to use the new password from the back of the new router.
Thanks
Debbie 🙂

I’ve now made changes to this but think they must be wrong as most people that buy the TP LINK ARCHER receive the WAN unplugged message and need to configure to talk talk.

Hi Debbie. It still is not working. I would like a new Talk Talk router instead of trying to set up this TP-Link Archer AX12 Dual Band Wi-Fi 6 AX1500 Router
On the Tp archer it keeps saying the WAN is unplugged (it is not).
I don’t know which talk talk details to use to configure it to be compatible. I tried the link on here but the selections are different.
I really need to be online for work and hope you can help. Thank you

Have you tried connecting at the test socket? Otherwise, if you would like the support team to look into this for you make sure that your personal details including TalkTalk phone number or account number are complete on your community profile (click here) so that they can link your forum identity with your account and then wait for them to respond.

Make sure that you have completed your community forum profile details, @Shelldonbaker, as staff need this information to identify your account.
Go via your avatar; settings. Add your Talktalk phone number or account number in Personal Information. SAVE CHANGES.
