Hi, Can anyone help- I had the new type of broadband fitted (the style that's like an old telephone wire) and the guy set everything up (wifi and tv) and left it running for me. It wasn't until later I found out that if I turn my t.v off at the wall socket the router (on a different socket) goes onto standby. It only stays on if I have my t.v switched on or leave it on standby. This seems a bit of a waste of electricity, I prefer not to leave appliances on standby. I do like the router on all the time however for security cameras etc. There doesn't seem to be any connection i.e. leads, between the router and tv just the wireless connection so I'm guessing it's something on settings but I just can't find out what- any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks Karl, I really thought it would just be a settings thing, didn't expect a router but will certainly give it a try. Thank you
