Hi everyone,
I’m having a frustrating issue with my Eero router. My laptop uses a 2.4 GHz 802.11n USB Wi-Fi adapter, and it works perfectly with other networks, including my Samsung Galaxy S24 hotspot. This device should be backward compatible, but for some reason, the Eero network doesn’t show up at all. I suspect this might be related to a recent firmware update.
I’ve reached out to support multiple times, provided screenshots, and given detailed information. Despite all of this, I’m still unable to connect and keep having to repeat myself to different agents. Any help or advice would be appreciated!

You don't mention it but I assume other devices can see and connect to the Eero?
And that you have rebooted the Eero?

Strange.
If that didn't work, can you check your laptop is up to date with all updates please and also check the firmware for your WiFi adaptor is up to date.
What version of Windows are you running?
It might be worth searching the internet for your WiFi adaptor to see if there is a better firmware that is recommended too.

Hi,
Have you tried looking at Troubleshooting in the app?
Go to settings, troubleshooting, my device won't connect, my device is 2.4ghz only, then temporarily pause 5ghz.
Hopefully this will allow you to connect.
Let us know how you get on.

802.11n is getting on a bit in tech terms, nevertheless an eero should still connect. Is this a TalkTalk supplied eero, as they are generally only issued to Full Fibre customers? Have you tried reaching out directly to eero support?
