Hello community,

Like other posts around here, my  ethernet connection is not working when connected to the router.

I tried CAT5 and CAT6 cables.

The cables have been tested and are working.

WIFI is working fine on any device.

I tried also the cable that was provided with the router that is a CAT 5E.

The admin page shows that there is a connection on that port but no traffic on it.

Dashboard > See Wi-Fi Settings > Manage Advanced Settings > Ethernet gear icon

Under Windows settings -> Network & Internet -> Ethernet it shows it's connected to the router (displays it's name) but says "No internet".

Hello, Thank you for getting back to me.

After some additional troubleshooting last night - yes resetting the router was part of this additional testing, I was able to find a laptop where the newly created cat6 cable actually worked and therefor concluded that the issue I had was that the other laptop and the desktop did not have appropriate ethernet drivers.

After updating the drivers for the desktop it finally connected and I was able to use the internet through the CAT6 cable.

Cheers,

Morning,

I'm sorry to hear this. Have you tried resetting the router and then re-testing this again? Do you have an alternative router that you could test with please?

Thanks

Michelle
