Hello
For several weeks now I have been unable to use WhatsApp video call over my wifi and now it’s not working for messages either. WhatsApp working fine over 4G and on other peoples wifi.
Looking at other threads on here, other people have had this issue too!
Please can I have some help / suggestions on fixing this!

Same problem here. WhatsApp and Discord on all devices not working. Turned OFF Home Safe settings, including Kids Safe and also Virus Control -= still not working. It is saying 'connecting' and nothing is happening. WhatsApp and Discord work perfectly in 4G/5G mobile connections (not TalkTalk). But these apps not connecting on TalkTalk fibre broadband.

The new router is on the way. Usually its around 24 - 48 hrs for a router to arrive, but with the up coming bank holiday this may cause a delay.

Trying a new router sounds like a good plan, thank you.
this only started after we renewed our contract with talk talk - not sure if that would trigger any change.
whatsapp works on other people wifi and my husband is having the same issues on his android.. so that suggests it’s not an issue with the app.
What’s the time frame on receiving the router?

It is a headscratcher that's for sure. If you google search for connection issues with whats app, there are many reports with all sorts of providers and connection types, so it's difficult to identify if it is an app issue or specifically a talktalk connection issue.
I would like to swap out the router so we can rule out a hardware issue.

It is strange, as only started a month or so ago, but seems I’m not the only one!

this is a a strange issue. Can you put your phone into airplane mode for a couple of minutes to help clear any memory cache and then turn off airplane mode and try again please.

I too have the same problem as VickyEJ and have tried all the suggested fixes related to this post with no joy. WhatsApp connects fine with WiFi switched off but takes an age to connect using WiFi. This has only been a recent problem. The software on my phone is iOS 16.1.1.

We can only send another router that's exactly the same make and model as the one you already have. Could you switch your router off again for 30 minutes then switch back on and retest
