Router problems

My router seems to have developed a problem with the wifi. You can connect and work using a device that support 5GHz but any device that only supports 2.4GHz cannot connect. I have tried rebooting and that did not fix it. Using a wifi  analyzer on android I can see there are frequent periods when the signal drop to zero. Any suggestion or do I need a new router?

Have you also factory reset the router using the pin hole reset for ten seconds?

 

I can send a replacement router for testing if you would like me to arrange this?
