I’ve been with talk talk for 4 years and have always had a great and replaceable connection. I use a openreach hg612 in modem mode with my own router and mesh wifi. I’ve checked all devices wifi and wired and get the same. I’ve changed the dsl filter to see if that made a difference. Over the years I’ve always had beweeen 55mbs/68bms down and 17mbs plus upload (even full 20mb sync). I am not uploading anything to saturate the upload but am getting red on my broadband monitor so I know it’s an external issue. Could someone please look into this and let me know if there is an issue with my port at the cabinet or errors on my line. The sync on upload is now 13mbs but also streaming and online gaming are moment is stop start all the time when dropping packets. Today it’s been fine. Please help.

Looks like it may be a faulty modem. I’ve connected my tp link 9970 up and ordered another. Faulty hardware does happen and happy to admit in the wrong😩

Will try get one today. As ya can see switched to talk talk hub which I’ve circled grin. Lantency has increased. The only difference is the modem. Also I know the huewei HG612b does support G.INP which could be the issue. I will see if it’s all green for a few days. I’ve ordered another huewei modem.

Are you able to borrow a telephone to test the line for noise?

Don’t have a phone line plugged in as don’t use it. It may not be a talk talk network issue but could it be a faulty port at cabinet. The upload has got better at 15mbs but something isn’t right compared to how it usually runs. When I get home il unplug and put the talk talk router back on. As we wasn’t using, we wouldn’t have noticed. If we are getting dropped packets they everything stops reacting. Streaming stop start and phone starts hanging so end up turning wifi off and going to mobile data. If I request an openreach engineer what are the charges. I’m very sure there is no issues with my internal hardware.

I've checked the line history for the last few days and can't really see any issues, errored seconds are very low every hour. Are you experiencing any problems with your telephone service, any noise on the line?

Right have switched to using my openreach vdsl router. No dropped packets anymore. Unload still a little low at 14mbs but the thing I have done it changed the PSU on the modem. Maybe it was the PSU that was knocking out the signals. Annoying thing is it was never losing sync. All back and looking good for a good few days.

right I’ve switch to my talk talk router. All connected 61mbs sync but upload has dropped again to 12. Use to get 20mbs so as a guess I would assume there is an issue there. Let’s observe for 48 hours.

Will plug in just to follow the script. Pretty certain this is an external issue still.

Hi,
As our Network Team have checked and can't see any issues, would you like us to send a replacement router for testing purposes to see how this compares and to rule this out?
Thanks
Michelle
