New hub - stand is awful

Stand came off almost instantly when I tried to adjust it (seems you're not supposed to). Given up trying to clip it back on; I manage one side then it springs off again when I try the other. I suspect I'll end up just leaning it back against the wall. Also the stand doesn't seem to have taken the leads at the back into account. Really, really poor design.
If anyone knows any tricks to reattaching the stand please let me know.
