Router power led cycles on and off and no internet connection

After a power outage the router power light comes on for about 10s and goes off for about 20s. I’ve disconnected from wall socket for 30s, and reset for 30s to no avail.

Thanks for replying.

I tried switching the router off for 30 seconds, and then for 20 minutes as advised, to no avail. Unplugged it from the wall socket last night, plugged it in this morning and it all seems to be working ok. 😀

Did you mean 30s as in seconds, or mean to say 30 minutes?

 

If seconds, try a 30 minute turn off. If you have an ONT box, turn that of too.

 

If that does not work, try a factory reset either by pin hole reset or via the router dashboard. If you've changed your router ID and password these will revert to the original values.
