Hello,

Similar to: https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Broadband/WORK-VPN-ACCESS-BLOCKED/m-p/2880459#M835894

I am no longer able to connect to my work VPN whilst on my home network, but can do so with the same devices on mobile network/other networks provided by different ISPs. This has occurred recently, not sure on the exact date.

TalkTalk Wi-Fi Hub Sagemcom-FAST5364
version SG4K100174

It seems a firmware update resolved the issue for many others.

Could the same please be done for me?

Let me know if any further information is required.

Thank you

I concur with what @Karl-TalkTalk has just said. However, I did look at this one a while ago, but could find no free SSL VPN servers and as the client is not free anyway, there is no testing I can do on this one.

Hi

The older firmware you mention was V136 from a number of years ago.  Your router is running V174 and we have seen no issues with this version of firmware with any current VPN clients.

Thanks

Karl.

Fortinets SSL VPN seems to be a proprietary VPN protocol

Forticlient for Windows is the VPN

The firewall was on medium when the issue occurred, I changed it to low to re-test but with no luck.

It works as soon as I switch to a different network. On my home network it authenticates and then immediately disconnects.

Every other post describing the same issue seems to have been resolved by talktalk staff amending the firmware, so I was hoping that could be applied here as well.

It had worked previously, the issue has arisen in the last week or so.

I have tested every free VPN client I can get hold of on this router/firmware & they all work. Which VPN client are you using & do you know which VPN protocol it uses? Is the router's firewall still on medium, which it should be?
