Hello all,

I am looking for a good WIFI extender device for connecting to my TalkTalk WiFi Hub with standard fibre 65 to boost the signal, both inside the house, and outside in the garden.

Can you use any WiFi extender/booster on the market with the TalkTalk WIFI Hub or do you need to use a particular brand and model?

Thanks. Do you know roughly when the Sagemcom TalkTalk WiFi Hub 3 was made available? I am not sure what revision (1,2 or 3) I have, but anyway I have no issues with it apart from wanting to boost the signal.

The Sagemcom fast266 booster works with all Sagemcom hubs 1 to 3.

Hi,

When you say the WiFi Hub 3, do you mean the Sagemcom TalkTalk WiFi Router or is this not the latest one?

Hi @Xpander43

It does sound like there was some confusion when you tried to order the Sagemcom WiFi Booster. I have asked @Lorrainef from TalkTalk to comment on here with an update for you.

Hi @nomfezeko-TT for your information.

No worries @Xpander43, I have seen other communication from TalkTalk saying that it goes hand in hand with their latest router (Wi-Fi Hub 3) and quotes a price for it. I am just waiting for clarification on everything.

It is far from an obscure product; there have been a lot of them provided to customers. They can resolve issues such as yours very well. Plus, it has the added advantage of being Wi-Fi 6. It is currently on version 2 hardware, which I got involved with back in December last year. It must have been launched around November 2024, making it less than a year old. I use one all of the time.

Thanks for the update and for letting me know.

That's ok. Thanks for your help in trying to resolve this.

It sounds almost like it's an obscure product that perhaps they do not sell many of, if they do not readily know whether they do still sell it or not.

Hi @Xpander43 @nomfezeko-TT

I am sorry, but still my contact at TalkTalk hasn't been able to get an update on this. There will be nothing happening now, until Monday at the earliest.
