Wifi Channel keeps changing

Hi,

I'm trying to stop the router from automatically changing the channels on both 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands. I called customer service but they had no clue what I was talking about. 2.4ghz keeps choosing more congested channel 6 but needs to be on channel 11.

I've read WIFI Optimisation is the main cause of this, so can it be switched off, please?

Hi

5Ghz will give faster speeds/  You can separate the wifi channels if you only want to remain connected to 5Ghz.

Thanks

Karl.

Thanks for your reply.

When connected on the 2.4ghz band, my speed only reaches 33mbps download but when on 5ghz it reaches 63mbps. I tried this with no other devices connected and tested on different devices too. What could be the problem?

Hi s9bsk

Apologies for this.

The WIFI optimisation has now been switched off.

Thanks
