Broadband upgrade - Will the Wifi from the eero be worse than my old one?

Hello,

Can anyone please help me, after spending an age communicating in chat screens and several phone departments.  I have Two issues which I can't get clarified.

Firstly:

I was due to move to plus net but your loyalty department called and i agreed to stay with a new deal that included a upgrade to full fibre 150 which included a eero router.  I didn't get any email confirmation so thought id get in touch to request confirmation to be sent.  I'm then told nothing has been processed! So the loyalty team go through the upgrade with including the T&C's.  Which state that my cooling off period starts tomorrow... yet my broadband wont go live for another month when an engineer can come out (12/02/25).   I queried this only to be told that they can't amend the T&C's but will add a note on my account.  I'm not sure how i truly stand on this as I have no confirmation of this in writing and how can the cooling off period runout before I actually have the service provided?

Secondly:

I believe with fibre150 I will have an 'eero 6' router. I pointed out that I was concerned it will not cover the whole of my house (reading reviews) as it will be using mesh technology which ideally needs more than one Hub to form the 'Mesh' and as the fibre connection will be at the front of the house will it reach the rear of the house some 10meters away and asked if an extender will be provided should the main eero not cover the full house.  Only to be told I can pay for 'Total home Wifi' for an additional £8 a month which will include a 'extender'.   My old wifi router (Technicolor DWA0120) was fine and providing Wifi across the house, so my question if the eero router can't match or beat that coverage why would i have to pay for extra extenders?

I asked if I could clarify things with the technical department and when i eventually got through he said he can't really help until the service is up and running but said each eero had a range of 3 meters!  Is this true?  As I'll need more than one extender if this is the case?

As I'm sure you can appreciate all this ambiguity is very unnerving and needs a huge leap of faith!

I really need to this clarifying within the next 2 weeks or I can seen me, either suck in a 24month contract with woeful wifi coverage or trying to reject a contract whilst being without a broadband service!

Please advise.

No - We have a single eero in the down stairs kitchen and at the far end of the house in the bedroom the signal and speeds are great.

Each eero device should cover an area of 190m2 or 1,500 ft2. However, this range is highly dependent on several factors, such as: Your home's building construction (older with thick walls, or new builds with foil-insultation)
