We're supposed to have been upgraded from fibre to full-fibre today. The engineer that installed the line left saying he couldn't complete the job because of an issue at the cabinet, but out old line was still there and would still work - which it did, until 4:30 this afternoon. Now neither connection is working. I need to work from home tomorrow and I have no internet. Talktalk's support is an embarrassment.
The box on the outside wall is hanging off the wall since the three 1-inch rawlplugs he put into the render have fallen straight out. Seriously, totally pointless *@#][!![]'#[@#]!* things to 1950s render.
He reused a hole in the wall that used to be for our (unused) satellite tv dish- the lead for the dish still goes into the wall, but now doesn't come into the house. Meanwhile the hole on the inside isn't filled properly and a nice cold breeze is blowing in.
When is the new connection going to start working? Why has the old connection stopped working when we were assured it wouldn't? When can I expect someone to come and sort out the mess left by the engineer, plug the draft and properly fix the box to the wall?
Thanks
