Hi

I've just upgraded to full fibre and was expecting a eero router, but have received a hub3.  Are these just as good ? Can they be expanded to a mesh with more than 1 booster? I can't seem to find these online, will other mesh boosters work. Have talktalk stopped shipping eeros, I can't see that option now

@Steve167 if you are having issues with your full fibre connection, @KeithFrench has mentioned that he can assist.

Hi @Steve167

Having extensively tested both, I would say that in my opinion, the Hub 3 used in a mesh with one or more Sagemcom FAST266 Wi-Fi booster(s) is a better & cheaper solution. However, so much of this is down to the environmental conditions in your property that affect the way that Wi-Fi signals can propagate through it.

Anyway, as mentioned by @Gliwmaeden2, you have no choice; this is the only router supplied for new upgrades or new customers. However, I would point out that if you only want to buy the Wi-Fi booster, it is available currently for a one-off charge of £30 plus delivery; you do not have to pay for Total Home Wi-Fi.

I can help with any technical queries about both solutions if required.

Thanks, that's great, appreciate the reply.

I'm a little disappointed.  I guess tgr hub3 is wifi6 and mesh? But is it as good as the eero? And can I purchase more boosters to make a comprehensive mesh system?

They are sending out the Hub3 rather than Eeros now, @Steve167.

It's a simpler set up for those wanting to use VOIP (usually £2.00 a month extra before calls - worth checking about that).

It's £8.00 extra per month to use the extender(s):
