Since last night our broadband had been playing up. It connects but then after 2 hours the connection is non-existent. I keep resetting the router, even turning off at the wall and resetting, which fixes the issue for a couple of hours, but the last time the internet only stayed for 20 minutes. I’ve done this six times today now and I need the internet to work from home! I’ve already logged a complaint after the rude live chat response I got. Do I need a new router? We only got fibre not that long ago but long enough for the connection to be stable which it has been until now. I can’t even use mobile data to test my connection when it drops as the site just crashes.

I've ordered the router, it should be with you within 5 working days

A hub please. I’m pretty sure it’s that causing the issue as the connection is fine when it does manage to work, albeit briefly.

Do you want me to send another wifi hub or would you like me to send an eero?

That would be great, thanks Chris. I’ve reached my limit with the live chat and being on hold on the phone. Cheers

I can send another router to test with, would you like me to arrange this?

Hi Chris
I did that and it seemed to work ok for the most part last night although streaming services kept buffering every now and again. Just about to sign online for work now and it’s gone again, another reset of the router is required! Could it be a faulty router? It’s a solid white light and the connection seems fine when it’s working.

Hi Stuart
Can you switch the ONT and router off and leave them off for at least 30 minutes, then switch back on and retest. Please let us know how you get on
