Moving router to another room

Hey there,

I am wanting to know if I am able to have my router moved to another room, as where it is currently located will become a babies room.

I am getting an attached shed in the back converted into an office and would like it moved there if possible. Is this something TalkTalk offers?

Thanks

Hi Sam,

Thanks for your post. We can arrange for the main socket to be moved and this is called a Low Volume Request. This would be a chargeable visit. If you'd like to go ahead with this then please let us know.

Openreach engineers can also install and replace main phone sockets if requested. This is chargeable at £128.40.

Thanks

Michelle

Hi @Sam1237 I'm guessing you would like to have the point where the connection comes into the house? Usually this is not done by TT but Openreach and that can be expensive(they own the line into your house)

I'd be looking at leaving the router where it is and investigating range extenders etc.

Good luck with the baby, I understand why you are moving to the shed😊

I don't work here and all my opinions are my own.
