Just been upgraded to full fiber with a new router, but can not set port forwarding on the router.
I want to set a basic FTP server as i occasionally share large files and this is the most effective way of doing it. My old SKY router worked perfectly.
I get an error "Operation could not complete. Something wrong happened."
It doesn't matter what I set in the port forwarding settings, always the same message.
(Games and applications also does not allow port forwarding!)
I would put my SKY router back, but need the phone connection (could use my VOIP adapter if I had the settings)
What am i doing wrong?

You're very welcome, port forwarding is a topic that I have always been interested in & I always thoroughly test each new firmware release for this facility.

Keith, please find screenshot enclosed.
Everything is now working!. I made a full factory reset, reset my Local IP to 192.168.11.100, and DHCP 192.168.11.1 to 192.168.11.99 and PORT forwarding is working, and I can see my FTP server on line now.
Just need to reset my address reservations and device names.
Thanks for the support given.

Hi @g0rsq
Please can you include a screenshot of this page:-
Dashboard > See Wi-Fi Settings > Manage Advanced Settings > TalkTalk Wi-Fi Hub > DNS
There is a bug currently that is stopping UPnP from working, so any automatic mappings will fail. I did report this to TalkTalk a while ago.

Thanks for trying these settings for me. It is really bizarre it doesn't work on my router.
I recieved the router about 1 week ago, and all i have done is change the LAN DHCP settings and local IP address to my existing network of 192.168.11.XXX, and turn off WIFI (I have a WIFI already set up). I also set up 30+ reserved IP addresses.
I do not use the standard 192.168.0.1 address as I have several devices all set to fixed IP addresses including security cameras, home thermostats, light switches etc, and will take hours to reconfigure them all, if I remember how!
I have no other port forwarding set.
I can't get any set at all, even the automatic ones for games on the games and applications tab.
I have not tried a reset (it will be a pain having to manually re-enter all the reserved IP's as there are no back up options in the router) but I will try that tomorrow when I get my work laptop home.
I will let you know how I get on.
Thanks
Peter

Hi @g0rsq
I have just tried this with my router set on 192.168.11.100 & once again it worked first time. Are you sure that you do not have any port forwarding rules set elsewhere on the router for TCP port 21? If not please perform a factory reset of the router.

Hi @g0rsq
@Michelle-TalkTalk has asked me to help you. This worked first time (I have tested loads of ports and on some different subnets) for me. I am using the same hardware & firmware revisions as you, but not the same subnet. Let me try the 192.168.11.0 subnet & I will come back to you.
