Returning router (staff asked me to start a new thread)

I'd like to return the Sagemcom router to talktalk please.

The router I was using is this one:

Please advise.  My understanding is that you would send me a pre-paid bag/parcel - but I need this sent to a different address from that which was with my account because I have now moved. My account is now closed with you because my new address already has other arrangements for phone and internet.


In terms of asking to make arrangements for the return of the router, I find it peculiar that I have to create a thread on the  community forum as advised here: https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Broadband/Requesting-a-return-bag/m-p/3089088#M876299
I would have thought that the ability to directly message you or use a dedicated online form for the arrangement would be more precise rather than generally on the forum. But I'm doing as you ask.

Please me of the next steps.  Again, I need to be able to give you a different address to post the pre-paid packaging so please advise on the means to do that.

The private notes have now been updated with a correspondence address for you to send the pre-paid packaging for me to return the router.

@rpd123, thanks for starting your own thread  - this is to avoid confusion between accounts, which can be very important, and it also stops the OP on another thread getting irritated by notifications of updates when their own issue has been dealt with. 

 

It's not possible to organise this sort of thing through My Account, so that's why you needed to post here [and when it's been a change of address, this seems to work better than phone / Chat for getting a returns bag sent to the NEW address].

 

Have you managed to find the Private Notes section, as advised by Fr8ys?

 

It is towards the end of the Personal Information area that you'd have previously accessed via your avatar, settings etc. 

 

Remember to SAVE CHANGES. 

 

We do need you to post back when this has been updated with your new address.

You can put your new address in the private notes section of your profile.

 

Only you and TalkTalk staff can see this.

 

Please post back when done, so staff will know to look for it. Thank you.
