My wifi connection fails  to mobile phone  randomly with the error " connected no internet",

Also my Honeywell home T6R smart thermostat randomly  displays "no internet".  this can only be corrected by resetting the thermostat and the router every time.

The router is Sagecom  Fast 5464-2.T4

Any suggestions please?

As far as I am aware the only supply issue was a while back after the version 1 stocks dried up before the version 2 F266 was launched about two months ago. I really can't see that it has been discontinued so soon. Now of course if TalkTalk's policy on who can have one, based on their broadband package, has changed, I have no idea.

@Karl-TalkTalk if this is the case, please can you confirm which packages allow the purchase of an F266?

Hi Mike,

sorry if this is no longer available on your current package.  Our teams can swap out the router if required, just let us know what you decide.

Thanks

Karl.

It appears that the F266 wifi extender is no longer available.  The only alternative offered is a another new router, I will have to think about that.

cheers

Hi @mikeannneale

Thank you. I've checked and the router firmware is on v206 and this is the latest version.

Are you still having issues?

Hi mikeannneale

Please can you add your TalkTalk landline or account number to your Community Profile, I can then take a look at the router firmware for you.

Thanks

Hi @mikeannneale

Yes, the best one is the Sagemcom FAST266 WiFi Booster, which when connected to the 5464, forms a mesh network. It is also WiFi 6 enabled on the booster (5464 will remain WiFi 5). These can be purchased via the Loyalty Dept on 0345 1725157 or 0330 1278960. If you go down that route, then please read my stick on using these at the top of this board. Here is the link to that page:-

I think I have resolved the problem.  I had TP LInk AV600 wifi extenders connected to tvs by ethernet.  This was working fine  but was also providing wifi.  By turning the wifi off on each extender my problem disappeared. That must have been the interference. Can you recommend a wifi extender to work with the  Sagecom FAST 5464-2.T4?  Thanks Mike Neale

Are other WiFi-connected devices OK? Where is the router & what is around it:-

  • Is it in a cupboard or out in the open?
  • Is it near any electrical equipment, expanses of metal, water or brick walls etc?

I can only presume this is WiFi interference, with which I can help a lot.

The information below is provided by TalkTalk, for confirmation please contact @Debbie-TalkTalk or@Michelle-TalkTalk.
