I use Call blocking regularly as I get a lot of calls. I run a small business from home so caller announce is not a practical alternative.
Today I have received two scam calls about 'My Gas and Electricity account' and on both occasions after I hung up and blocked the number I got the message 'This number is already on your list'.
It was working fine on Saturday but seems to be failing today.
Can you help please.

Scam callers can be very technical, there no guarantee they wont figure out how to do it on VOIP sorry

OK thanks, didn't know they could spoof both the number and number displayed.
Can't use Call Safe as it would put of potential callers for my business.
Any chance Digital lines are going to put an end to this spoofing?

it sounds like the numbers are being spoofed so they are getting through actually on a different number but displaying an already blocked number.
Only thing left to do would be to recommend callsafe. About CallSafe - TalkTalk Help & Support

I got the same message again today, 'the number is already on your list'. Anything else you can do?

@rolando Ok the next step is to remove it and re-add it completely, I will do this today, you will receive emails about the removal and then when its activated again.

Another one this morning, when I tried last caller barring I got the message 'this number is already on your list'. Can anyone look into this for me please. I'm starting to realise how useful this feature was.

Just tried last number barring again and got the same message 'this number is already on your list. Has it switched off again? Looked at my Account and last number call barring is listed as an active add on.
